Himalayan Birding Experience
Explore the picturesque scenery of Chopta and the surrounding Himalayas with our well-thought-out birdwatching itinerary. This journey will take you through dense forests, scenic valleys and high-altitude birding spots. Birding here is an unforgettable experience with rare and beautiful species of Himalayan birds.
DAY - 1
Arrive at Jolly Grant Airport, Dehradun early morning and drive to Mandal (7–8 hours). Reach Mandal in evening and rest. Overnight at Mandal.
DAY - 2
Full day birding at Mandal (a small village near Chopta inside Kedarnath Wildlife Sanctuary). Overnight at Mandal.
DAY - 3
Early morning drive to Chopta (30 min). Trek to Tungnath for photographing Monal and Koklass Pheasant. Afternoon/evening birding session in Chopta. Overnight at Chopta.
DAY - 4
Full day birding in Chopta and Tungnath. Overnight at Chopta.
DAY - 5
Early morning checkout from Chopta and drive back to Dehradun Airport. Services end.
